Hey Xiomi,
You have the same NOA 1 date as I do .. mine is at the TSC
We'll have to see who gets theirs done first ... !!
(is the MSC as notorious as the TSC??)

That's awful how you've been waiting since August, haven't you tried doing something? What do they tell you?

My first NOA is dated 10/24/02, so I'm trying to keep optimistic, but cases like yours make me wonder!!! I am hoping for an approval sometime in the near future, January 24, 2003 will be exactly 90 days, they estimated 60-90 days for processing. This wait really sucks!!

Yes, the wait is Horrible... a nightmare that never ends but continues day
after day. I went to see my husband during the Christmas/New Year Holiday..
and I feel a little bit better. Yes, I have tired getting my lawyer to
help.... My congressman... His assistant in my area... I was repeatedly told
that my husband is from a questionable country .. and that many of his
country men have falsified docs so that makes us suspicious. I will be
married One year On Feb 25th... I would love to spend it with my husband.
Our I130 was entered on the 25th of July... Nothing on that one yet either
except... an increase in waiting time... Weather you believe in karma or
reaping and sowing... I believe the people who purposely keep us from our
loved ones will pay someday.
Keep your head up... This is a Love worth keeping!

Oh Wisdom I hear what you are saying & feeling. At least you were lucky enough to have spent time with your husband over the holidays. We filed our I-130 in July too & also have had numerous changes to the time line. We were married in March 2002 & know that there is no way we are going to be together for our first anniversary but are both trying to be strong about that. We had our 1st NOA go missing in the mail so couldnt file our I-129F until this month so know we have a long way to go yet. Hang in there, there are a lot of us in the same boat & hopefully we may be able to gain some strength from each other.
Cheers

Got my phone bill yesterday! $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is killing me...financially and emotionally.

Let's all keep in touch on approval updates.
The last one I've seen approved is end of Sept.
So we're guessing MSC is somewhere in October right now.

The best valentine's would be to receive NOA2.....Feb11th is our 90th day waiting.

Luckly I haven't had many problems with the phone company because i use phone cards instead. Phone cards is the way to go, calling direct is a definte NO NO, for me. As a matter of fact i dont even have long distance service on my phone, this way i wont be tempted.

A $5.00 phone card gives me 1hr 50min to Venezuela, where my husband is.

It get's even better, in NEW YORK i know places where I can get $5.00 phone cards for $4.00 and $10.00 phone cards for $8.00!!!!

I still spend a lot of money on cards, but nowhere near $2000 LOL LOL.

What are your exeperiences with phone cards, are they an option?

Good luck everyone,

Claudia

Hi everyone I have been primarily a lurker on this forum but I thought
I would put my 2 cents in on this one. The Missouri Service Center's
only job is to process visa's for the Life Act. They have no special
projects or anything to blame on their slow processing. Tell me if I
am wrong on this. From hearing what everyone on this forum is saying
my wait will be quite abit longer than I would want or could expect.
Here is my timeline so far!!!!!!!!!

Married in Barcelona Spain Sept. 28 2002
I-130 First NOA November 13
I-129f First NOA December 9th

Good Luck to everyone and Gods speed in all of your approvals!!!

Why buy Cards at all.??

My Fiancee and I downloaded MSN from MSN.COM and use the netmeeting tool to talk to each other with a headset and microphone just like the telephone.
The only "problem " is that we have to plan when to meet on MSN and talk.
The cost......Absolutely FREE other than you internet charges.
We talk EVERY day for about 2 hours.
Good luck .

Likewise my husband & I voice chat in yahoo messenger everyday & it costs us nothing but can be difficult with the time differences...NZ is 18 hours ahead of Indiana so our days get really screwed up.When hes asleep Im awake & vice versa but we always manage to meet up somehow

It was originally a screw up between ATT and MCI I will not get into it..
its way too long...
Phone cards... A 20.00 card gets me 28 minutes with my husband.. in Haiti.
We primarily communicate via email and messenger.
