MSC Approval!
I checked this morning and the petition for my family (wife and two
stepchildren) was approved yesterday! I swear that I checked it last night
and nothing had changed. I guess they approved it at the end of the day and
updated the website this morning. I couldn't believe it. I saw people with
NOA1's of 11-14 getting approved and mine (11-05) was still not changing.
Yesterday I wrote (through their websites) to both my Representative and my
Senator. I don't think that they responded that quickly to get my petition
approved within 3 hours of writing them (especially since I still haven't
received any response), but if they did, they earned my vote come the next
election. And I'm not even a member of their party!
Anyway, when I checked the site this morning, as soon as the words came up,
I thought, "hey, those words are in a different order today.... OH MY---!"
Now, I'm pretty strong emotionally, but I even started crying when I told my
wife. I had never cried out of joy in my life... it's pretty neat! :-D
Last night I was absolutely fed up with the lack of information and
seriously even started thinking about what it would take to just move down
to Peru. I was devastated, and today I feel 5lbs lighter. :-)
Oh, and then I was stuck at work and I couldn't even write to anyone here --
to tell anyone who really knows what it means to see those words after all
this time. Luckily I found Claudia's email address. :-)
Now's the easy part. It'll be pretty fast getting the paperwork in Peru.
It's easier to bribe people down there and get to the front of the line.
;-) Well, except at the embassy.
I'll keep everyone posted on timeframes. Good luck everyone.
