Default medical question / consulate question

ok...

i got the forms from the sydney consulate, and it says on the checklist that
i send back the checklist after i get all documentation - then they will
issue me an appointment date.

this is sydney btw.

but people have to have the medical AFTER they get the appointment date.

which is right????

Are you filing DCF? The checklist we received was only for our purposes....

We also the embassy send us all the information we needed to do, (i.e. medical) and then made the appointment for when i was there overseas. So when i was there, we had almost everything together - practically - for the embassy and had our interviews....

No you dont have to have the medical after the appointment date is
issued, if you have approval (2nd NOA) you can go ahead and make your
medical appointment. I went through Sydney also on a K1, I did cheat
just a little, sent my checklist in before I had everything (but was
very close to getting it), it just speeded things up a bit. Sydney
usually issues dates fairly fast, like within 3 weeks.
Hope this has helped!
