marriage to US citizen and residency status.
Hello
I was wondering if I get married to a U.S. citizen how long does it take
till I become a unconditional resident of the U.S. ? ( I heard it was 2
years). Once I get married is there any process I have to start for this or
do i wait for 2 years?

where to start...do you have your fiancee (K-1) visa yet? that's the
starting point, then enter, get mariried, apply for residency (conditional)
then unconditional residency. This is simplified and not an exact path but
it's roughly what I did and it took about 4.5 years altogether.
