Sorry I do not remember. I knew what they were telling me was wrong and saw no point discussing further at the premium rate.

Here's my timeline from receipt of the I-130 NOA2. May give you some idea.

1. 07/09/04 - Received I-130 NOA2 from Nebraska

2. 22/10/04 - Received DS-3032 and $65 bill for I-864 from NVC. Bill
must be paid before they process 1-864.

3. 23/10/04 - Mailed check for I-864 $65 to NVC. Wrote letter advising
them I was now residing in Georgia and wished to have my interview at the
London Embassy visa department..

4. 23/11/04 - Received $335 bill for processing spousal visa form
DS-230 from NVC. Bill needs to be paid before they process the form.

5. 24/11/04 - Mailed cashier's check for $335 to NVC

6. 20/12/04 - Received form DS-230 plus instructions from NVC. I need
to complete it and return it together with a barcode sheet and a photocopy
of the biographical page from my passport. Also included in the package is a
list of the items I need to get together to take to the interview in London.
These are:

________________________________

1. Birth certificates

2. Police certificates

3. Deportation papers

4. Court and prison records

5. Military records

6. Marriage certificates

7. Termination of prior marriages

8. Translations.

_______________________________

13. 27/12/2004 - Mailed completed DS-230 to NVC. We now begin organizing
the documents we will take to London.

14. 24/01/2005 - Received notification from the NVC that our case had now
been transferred to the London Embassy. One other thing, the letter makes a
point of stating that we should have the last three years tax records ready
for the London interview, even though it doesn't mention any other items.

15. 10/02/2005 - Received packet four from the London Embassy with an
appointment date for an IR-1 of 30th March 2005. Comprises of list of items
to take with me (see above list), DS-230 part two, and the medical
questionnaire. One thing that caught my eye; it says that when filling out
the DS-230 I should use the words NOT APPLICABLE and not the shortened
version of N/A. This would not be accepted if used.

16. 30/03/2005 - Was approved for visa at the London Embassy and got a one
year stamp in my passport. Interview was a breeze and I encountered no
difficulties in the process. Now awaiting the delivery of the 10yr green
card.

17. 25/04/2005 - Received 10 year green card in the mail.

Another experience to add to the list:

London Embassy received my Pack 3 checklist on 27th April. Today I have received Pack 4 and notification of my interview on June 17th.

So in my case, they sent out Packet 4 fairly rapidly (2 weeks to the day) but a 5 week wait for the interview. At least that leaves me plenty of time to schedule a medical, hotels, travel etc, and I prefer it this way.

Good luck all.

I've emailed the embassy now So i'm just sitting on my hands waiting for a reply. Probably along with a couple of hundred other people.

Some people have said that they were told that they weren't on the system only to find an interview date waiting for them next day. Sooo maybe it'll be like that. I hope!

Hi There,

Our case has been completed here in the U.S. as of May 10th. Is there a way to check when the London Embassy gets it/processes it? .. either by emailing them the NVC case number or calling? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I hadn't planned on going to London to be with my husband for his interview. But since he needs 3 years of my taxes, does that mean I should go also? or just send them to him. I sent NVC all of that in my affidavit of support. Thanks

neat:
The Consulate will notify the beneficiary by mailing "packet 3"; have your documents ready to return by the next post.

Cases seem to stay 'off' the system until they are scooped up, entered and immediately generate a P3. There is no point in asking the Embassy ahead of time, other than to frustrate yourself, based on what I've read.

It's not required for you to attend the interview, and doesn't seem to 'help' much in London, if it is not convenient for you to be there.

You could email the Embassy and it is now THEIR case number if it starts with LND000etc-not NVC's case number. Don't waste your time calling on that because the call center is in Scotland, NOT in London.
I would give it a bit of time to get and get entered into their system, today is only the 15th.

PS When emailing them, give them the case number AND your husband's name.

No, you don't need to go to London for the interview. You just need to
complete the I-864, sign it and get it notarised, and send it to your
husband together with the last three years tax returns. We used copies from
our CPA, but you can get free tax transcripts from the IRS.

No, you don't need to go to London for the interview. You just need to
complete the I-864, sign it and get it notarised, and send it to your
husband together with the last three years tax returns. We used copies from
our CPA, but you can get free tax transcripts from the IRS.

Hi again,

My husband has to have the I864 again even though I've sent them in already?? I received a list of what documents he needs to take with him and the immunizations that are required and it doesn't say anything on there about the I864?? All it says is: Birth certificate, police certificate, passport, deportations, court & prison records, military records, marriage certificates, termination of prior marriages & translations. Could cases be different?

Thanks neat

I'd be really greatful

My application is dcf through london.

The lady on the premium rate number said it will be about 6 months but i'm hoping she's wrong.

Thanks for replying if you do.
Hi:

Timelines are a GENERAL idea -- "your mileage may vary."

However, in the usual DCF case, I don't think that the lady is wrong -- I've never heard of any straightfoward case taking longer than six months. They are usually quite quicker.

However, it pays to remember that the IV is good for six months. So lets say it takes six weeks and there are no hangups -- that would give you 7 1/2 months to come to the US.

Does that work for you?
