Hi,

Do I need to submit the original W2s with the i-864 (affidavit of support)? I will be
submitting a letter from my employer, and the last 3 years of tax returns, but the
I-864 says that I need to submit the W2 as well.

If so, does anyone know where can I get the W2 from ? Or will photocopies suffice ?

Photocopies - *never* submit originals to the INS; you should have all originals
available for the interview though.

When the employee gets the W-2, there are 3 "originals", one for federal tax returns,
one for state or "local" and one for the employee's files. Tax payers are expected to
keep their file copies for future audits or other purposes. Go to the IRS website and
you can see the original forms, even some of the older years......(eg., 1994 form is
at http://ftp.fedworld.gov/pub/irs-94/fw2_94.pdf )

So, you have these ? Then submit photocopies; even if you have originals, submit
photocopies.

Is this for a K-1 issuance ??

If it is, then you need the I-134 not the I-864.

If it is for a K-1, then the instructions for the I-134 would apply as well as
anything the consulate accepts as evidence of income.
