Default K1 or K3, that's a dilemma

Dear all,
I am a student studying in the UK. My boyfriend who has already
naturalized US citizen in Chicago hopes me to move to the States after
I graduate my uni in June.
We just started to plan it, only to find some kinda frustrating facts
such as I can't settle down smoothly if I marry him with a tourism
visa in the US.

Therefore we decided to resort K-visa.
Since I hold PR.China passport and my student visa in the UK is going
to expire by the end of September. We have to find a fastest way
available to make me enter US and reunion with him.
We are facing a dilemma and looking for help. Either could we marry in
the UK and apply K3 or start to apply K1 right away.
Please give me your suggestions which option is better for our case.
We really need your help.
Thank you very very much.

I am in the same dilemma, different website tell different things.
This information is very time sensitive, so always check the dates on the
webpages.
Here is a couple links:
http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1faq.htm
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?pg=compare

I have been talking to several lawyers and also hearing different things
from them.
Also dont forget to post the service center you going to apply to,
because they vary in "speed" too.

Good luck and if find reliable info, please post.

One more thing, this is not the right news group for this.
Use alt.visa.us.marriage-based
