Default I got the Immigrant Packet (packet 3) from Montreal.. then what I got some questions!

Hi

I have received the packet 3 from Montreal.. actually from my
immigration lawyer in Chicago forwarded to me.

I got the follow questions as I am current reside in Toronto.

1) How & Where do I get police certification in Toronto
2) How much for the medical exam
3) Why is each from has the expried date on it?
4) It suggests me to have all medical exam done at least 3 weeks
before my visa appointment if possible.. but I do not know my visa
appointment yet!
5) When is the due date to submit the forms? I got another NOA
letter saying something expired in May, 2004.. does that mean I need
to submit the form before that date?

Thanks!

We just had our Montreal interview on 18 Feb 04 and got the fiance visa
(K1). 1) you should be able to get the police certificate at your local
RCMP, make sure that the police check covers ALL of Canada and not just your
province (ours only covered Newfoundland and Labrador so the day of the
interview we were scrambling to get a new cert in Montreal which wasnt a
problem)
2) You have to call the docs listed on the approved doc list and find out,
it varys by doc
3) Dont understand what your asking on #3
4) Go and get your medical done immediately and then send in your packet 3
checklist and then Montreal will mail you a date
5) That other NOA is exactly 120 days from your notice, it is the timeline
to get everthing completed (interview and visa)

Make sure you read the letter on particulars. If you have any questions let
me know. the interview was sort of painless except for a few hiccups.

Thank you for answering my questions

Call the Commissionaires @ (416) 363-9072 to obtain RCMP Police Certifcate. They are on Victoria Street if memory serves me correctly.

Will cost you about $20... take Packet 3 if they need to see it along with two pieces of ID... one being your passport.

They will only do a "name" check first and if that is fine... you'll get the yellow slip saying you're good to go... otherwise... if there is something they need to look into... they will require fingerprints.
