I wouldn't bring any of that stuff. For the K-1 visa, the obligation is to demonstrate that you have met face to face at least once in the previous 2 years... and emails and phone records don't demonstrate that. You are not required to show an ongoing relationship. Now... if you have photos together, plane ticket stubs, hotel receipts, and credit card receipts... they better demonstrate that you have seen each other and fulfilled the requirement.

I have my interview on Tuesday and I'm taking just a few of our most recent emails and some letters/cards that we sent to each other recently too.

In London in 2003, I just got asked when we met how we met and how often we'd seen each other. A couple of photos of us together was all that was needed. Probably 90 seconds in total for the interview and a lot of hanging around before (medical first, then to the Embassy with some more waiting and hanging around) - and a little after while the K-1 visa was affixed into my passport. Good luck: it's )obviously) frightening beforehand (not knowing) but afterwards you'll realize just how quick it was - and hopefully smiles all round....

By the way, it's my K1 interview tomorrow - wish me luck.

Hi Ian. The DS-156K tells you to bring certain documentation to the interview. As well birth/marriage certificates etc. it also asks for 'Evidence of Engagement to your Fiance(e)'. The only way I can think of to prove that I'm engaged to my OH is by the letters and emails etc. that we send to each other. This is why I think they are a requirement at interview, but I have also been known to be wrong.

London traditionally hasn't been eager to see much of this kind of evidence at K-1 interviews. Take some, obviously, but don't be hurt if you aren't grilled about the nature of your personal relationship.

Might be something to do with shared language etc (yeah yeah, I know it's only 'shared' so far etc).
