K-1 Status from Islamabad, Pakistan
I am from Pakistan. My Fiancé has filed an I-129F petition through his lawyer from Vermont as he is in NJ. The lawyer has said that it will only take one month for me to get a K-1 Visa from Pakistan. Is it true?? Please tell me how much time it takes to get a visa after I-129F’s approval? I tried to find information regarding K-1 from Pakistan but there is nothing there. Please help.

One more thing, do I need any clearance from FBI as I am from Pakistan?

My husband came on a K1 from Pakistan last April. It took 2 weeks for the approval from Vermont. He received his first packet from the consulate approximately 2 weeks later. His second packet came about a month later and the interview was less than a month thereafter. The whole thing took less than 3 months (filed Jan 16 and he was here April 2).
Further down the line, we filed AOS in Cherry Hill, NJ in mid-June 2001, had the interview in Newark in mid-July 2002 and greencard in hand by August.
