Interview at Embassy booked for next Monday!
A very helpful chap with the US Embassy in London has just taken the details of me and the Missus, plus $300, for our L1B interviews - hoorah!
What with the tribulations of getting our UK passports renewed, my company wanting me to travel here, there and everywhere with barely time to get the visa interview done and passports back before my next trip, it got a little fraught if we were to meet our target move date of 9 Nov...
... but progress is being made!
All being well we shall be in Phoenix in good time for the Thanks Giving weekend - I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but we'll soon find out!
Thanks for all your help & support - we may still need some more before we get to the other side!
Cheers
Harry

Good going!
Get yourself invited to someone's home for Thanksgiving, it's one of the truly uniquely American holidays. Eat a big meal, watch some American football and try some pumpkin pie.

Haha....since I'm in Phoenix, I'd invite....but we never do the traditional American Thanksgiving meal. We have rack of lamb, rice, salad, and yoghurt dip instead, with baklava for dessert. WAAAAY better than turkey (although I do love stuffing and mashed potatoes!).

'Her in Doors' (HiD) and myself had a holiday booked to south west Turkey - then I got the promotion and the move to AZ. HiD said there was no way we were cancelling the holiday, so off we went - had a wonderfully relaxing time...
... and I really discovered baklava - On more than 1 occasion I went above and beyond.... the capacity of my tummy(!).... the staff at the hotel even got me a special serving of it on our last night!
I'm guessing you make your own... or is there a secret supply available?!
