Updated timeline:

22nd March 2014 - I-130 and supporting documents sent
27th March 2014 – Receipt acknowledged
10th May 2014 - I-130 Approved
24th May 2014 - Case number received
**At this point I spent some time gathering all my documentation**
5th June 2014 - DS-260 and notification of readiness submit
19th June 2014 - Medical examination in Knightsbridge completed

My status was updated to 'Ready' on the CEAC tracker sometime before my medical. Now I'm waiting on my interview date and one of my police certificates.

22 July - DX Secure delivered our immigration package, BUT THE PACKAGE WAS OPEN and the passport had fallen out. I noticed it, and we spent 20 minutes with the driver, calling the depot to sort this out. Eventually we reached them and they found the passport which was delivered to us on 23 July. It was anxiety-provoking but we managed to get it sorted out.
29 July - Flying to the US :-)
