I751 and possible divorce
I am a conditional GC holder, married to an USC and we have been having some severe marital problems. I have tried to get him to go to counseling however he refuses. My husband has an anger problem. He has been physically abusive ( a couple of times in the past). He is verbally and mentally abusive more then anything. I am fed up. I love him but I am tired of being a door mat. My question is will I be able to remove my conditions? I know there is something regarding abused spouses or children, however I dont have enough proof because most of it is verbal and mental.
I could go back home, but my life is here now and I really dont have anything to go back to. Will he have to file divorce first or would I? I really dont want it to go that far but I cant take much more of him tearing up the house and calling me names. I heard that there is a waiver as long as you are divorced. Does anyone know how that works or if one would be accepted to remove conditions on that basis.

First though... get out of the house! Protect yourself first... worry about immigration later!

As you appear to have no evidence? or do you think about it.
Did you ever report any abuse? ie to the cops etc
Have you got family or friends that would have seen him abuse you?
Has he a criminal report of past abuse on another poor soul?
If you have any of the above factors, then you may be eligable for the VAWA
(Violence against women act)

Yes the police were called twice, 2 of my teachers know about the
incidents last year, I have told my doctor so there is notation there. I
dont have any photos because he didnt leave any marks. Like I said it's
more verbal and mental abuse and it is not all the time.
I wanted to know if I did have options incase things get worse. I do
love my husband and I would like for things to get better, but if they
dont then I have no other choice but to go on with my life.
