Default I Need K-1 visa help

I'm just getting started trying to bring my new fiancee to the USA from
Belarus... we've been reading, starting to fill out forms, and learning, and
I think my best chance to make it through the paperwork fast/success is with
experienced help all the way through the interview. I would like to fit in
the 60-90 day timeframe for bringing her here. Any suggestions for lawyers
or other experienced help? My fiancee, Ludmila, speaks fair English.
Thanks for your suggestions!

you don't need any help to fill the papers out,.. just pay attention to
detail,...
don't think there is any way possible to fit into the 60-90 day timeline,..
ESPECIALLY from Belarus.
(um,..like,..the world trade center/,..9/11/2001,.. there are new security
checks in place now,..?)
I was approved thru the Texas service center, my Estonian fiancee has
completed her Consulate interview in Helsinki, Finland,.(9/20/02)
Now,..we are waiting for the completion of the post-interview security
checks which will take at least 6-8 weeks alone,.. (gotta make sure my 24
yr.old eastern orthodox lady/her 3 yr old son are not suicide bombers,..?)
good luck fitting your whole process into 60-90 days,..you are living i the
past,..(smile)

From me experience I could tell you to find a good immigration layer in your area to help you get through the initial petition.

As for the 60-90 days... the first 60 or 90 days it just for the INS approval...

I will be glad to share more if you would like to talk by e-mail.

I purchased a book from Nolo titled "Fiance and Marriage Visas", it's
about 40 bucks. You can get it on Amazon.com, just search "nolo", you'll
find it. After reading it, I felt like I was capable to handle the matters
for myself. Even an attorneys who is a personal friend, who I confided in,
didn't have the knowledge that is in this book, (however he is not a
immigration attorney). So I felt fairly confident after reading the book.
Once I was done, I took the package to 2 different attorneys who specialize
in immigration, they both said it was fine with 2 minor additions. The cost
at that point was minor, $100 and $75 if I recall is all they charged to
look it over the package. The book is a good wealth of knowledge, yet it
isn't ALL you will ever need to know. There are areas of the law that only a
specialist will be able to help you with, but the beginning of the K-1
process is fairly straight forward. Good luck, Mark

I found a site that has the steps, the forms, example completed forms, and
as long as that information is good, I feel "sorta" confident

only thing, this site is very irritating with pop-ups.
But I'm glad it's there. Wayne, I may consult you with a question or two!
Thanks everyone for your posts.
