Thanks in advance for answering some questions which I have concerning filling in
forms for AOS.

These questions are for individual with a K1 Visa adjusting status

1. Where do I find the "A" # or Alien Registration #? Is this # on the passort, i-94?
There is an " # on one of the pages of passport, but, it's described as "Emigrant"
No." Also, on reverse side of i-94 there is an A #, but, it is under a category
marked "Record Of Changes", confused again.

2. I have heard & read conflicting instructions about when to file for EAD. Can it be
filed along with 485, or as INS instructions state (must be filed with receipt of
485 from INS, confused.

3. OK, on i-131 it's asked what the purpose is. What is a most acceptable answer to
that. Will answering just "to vist family" be acceptable? ALSO, it's asks when
advanced parole will be used (not really certain now) any suggestions whatshould
be filled in there?

4. Form 9003 as I have it is only one page with no space requesting signature, is
this proper?

%. what is the estimated time to receive the EAD after filing?

Again, thanks much for answers and suggestions.

Bob

You should have an A# listed on your 2nd Notice of Action (NOA) from the INS when
your I-129F petition was approved. This number is most likely also written in the
passport, when you (or your spouse) entered the US.

Depends on where and how you're filing.

That's fine. As for multiple re-entry, give guesses as to travel dates (for the
holidays, etc.)

See #2.

I highly recommend you visit Doc Steen's website:
