Default I-751 extension question.

My friend applied for her removal of conditions in June of 2005.On june
23rd she got a recipt letter from VSC giving her a one year
extension. She has not had an interview yet altho her case has been
transferred to the Hartford office. She has obtained an infopass to
speak to an immigration officer on May 9th.
Is there a special form needed to be filled out to get another
extension?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Craig

Hi Craig,

No, there's no form needed. She should bring all her information to the Infopass appointment and ask for a stamp in her passport to provide further extension.

Best Wishes,
Rene

And once she is eligible, I think she can apply for her naturalization without waiting for her I-751 approval

You're on the right track! Just to clarify, she can apply for naturalization without waiting for her I-751 to be adjudicated. The N-400 will force an adjudication of the I-751. IOW, the I-751 must be approved, even if only moments beforehand, if her naturalization is to be approved.
