Default I-129f 2months & still no letter

9/23/2003-----Mailed I-129F application w/ delivery confirmation
9/24/2003-----Received delivery confirmation
9/30/2003-----Check cleared
11/3/2003-----Called to find out why I haven't got any notice of receipt
(NOA1). They told me to wait 30 more days for a letter
11/21/2003-----Got impatient and called again, they say they are working on
applications from June 13, 2003, wait couple of more weeks and then call
back. They told me to look at the back of my cancelled check for receipt
number and use it to check status online.

I called the bank and got the number off of back of the check and it's only
9 digits which should of been 13 digits including 3 letters in front. I am
so frustrated, and I noticed there are many others in this group. Is there
anything that I can do???

What service center did you mail it to? And does the 9-digit number start with a zero?

1) When I received my NOA1 for I-130 that I filed at the Texas Service Center (TSC) back in late July, I also received an NOA1 for another person's I-130 at TSC ... stuck togather with mine.

The machine mailed them both to me by mistake. So, I mailed his NOA1 to his address shown on it.

So, it is possible that your NOA1 was mailed to someone else because the machine made a mistake.

2) Do you know what address you mailed your app to? What kind of visa is it for and what relationship is it for? Give me some more info and maybe we can figure out on this NG as to where your app is at.

3) If you or we can't figure this out, contact your congressman. He/she will help you much more and faster than anyone at the NCSC # that you are calling.

I feel your frustration Singsong. I filed a petition for the I-129f in early August at Texas SC. I just now, yesterday in fact, got a NOA from them. I had to put in 3 separate enquiries before I finally got something. And it's ironic that after I called yesterday to put in yet another enquiry, that I found the doc in the mailbox when I got home. I got a copy of my cashed money order, and found the copy to be nigh on illegible so that way didn't help me. But I think it's persistance that will win through. Just keep calling and pestering them!!

Cheers,
Jamie
