You forget to mention yoghurt. American yoghurt contains all kinds of sweeteners but British yoghurt doesn't taste anywhere near as sweet.

The humour is certainly different between the 2... it is a rare find when I can really joke around with someone and not have to excuse myself for it

To me, Americans are more similar to the people I've met in Spain than to the people I've met in England. More similar in the sense of being laid back, friendly, not afraid to touch or be touched by others (I love all the cuddling that goes on here, I missed that physical contact a lot in England!!). I wonder if this is related to the Latin influence in the country?
