I am a British Citizen in the US.
I married a US Citizen 5/2006 married for five year's.
We want to retire in the UK.
What Visa must my husband (US Citizen ) complete to settle in the Uk.

Thank you for all your support who gave it. Just did not understand which one to go for. Any how been in contact with a Uk Immigration Firm. Who is working on our return to the UK.

Absolutely sound advice for you to make sure you get your US citizenship before you go. Also, if you are bringing animals to the UK, the rules about that are changing (becoming much easier) after January so it would be better to move after that.

I think it'd be waste of money. The UK Spouse visa is easy enough to apply for on your own, it's much easier than the US procedure insofar as it is all one form and it's quicker (there's no 'petition' part of the process, you just apply for the visa and get it, well in 99% of cases for Brit/American couples you do). You can even expedite the visa for an extra cost and get it as quick as a week. Your DH will need to go and get his biometrics done (USCIS offices act as an agent for the British Consulates to do this) but there's no medical and I don't think he has to provide a police certificate.
