Default HELP: Change of Status taking way too long

Hi I have applied for my wife who came in to the states with fiance
visa to receive her green card.
we applied for change of status on NOV 2005.

She had two finger printing and finally on May 2006 they invited us
for interview, in which they said sorry your application is not sent
to us locally and you need to go back and we'll call you. Still after
10 months, nothing from them.

I took an infopass appointment and they said, there was a problem with
assigning two A#s for my wife but the files have recently been
consolidated but still not words again from them for us to go to
interview. The status says pending and I have no idea anymor what to
do.

I wanted to write a letter to them but anyone knows what I should
include in my questions and where to send it?

Any suggestions or any similar cases?

I doubt if writing a letter will accomplish anything. Make another Infopass appointment and go in person. Maybe now that the A numbers are joined, they have a better answer for you.

Best Wishes,
Rene

So, you've been waiting 15 months... what makes you think that 15 months is *way too long* to wait? I waited 33 months... and that was just to get an interview. Others have waited even longer. Fifteen months would have been a luxury to us!
