Aren't we jumping the gun here a bit? The OP says he was never legitimized so no authority has recognized or established that there two people are related. So in legal terms, this USC is submitting an I-130 on behalf of some guy he knows in the UK. How can the US government approve that petition if the relationship has yet to be established?

Can it even be done this late in the game? Adoptions must be done prior to the 16th birthday, legitimation to derive citizenship must be done by 18 or 21 and before marriage. We still have some unanswered questions here.

SOME GUY IN THE UK , does my UK birth certificate mean nothing ?? im sure submitting blood tests is also possible.
Yes it can be done , we have had the advice of a lawyer who specialises in family law.
I am not claiming citizen ship for an unmarried son under the age of 21, I know I don't qualify for this category, but I do qualify for unmarried / married children over the age of 21 for sponsorship/green card.

What questions are unanswered? maybe I can shed some light on them.

I've no idea what questions CRG was going to ask, his will be far more expert and relevant than mine, but do you have any children and if so, what age?

Your first post here stated that you were "never legitimized". Are you claiming now that a familial relationship has been properly established?

I can only go by what you're telling me.

As for the family laywer, have to spoken to an immigration laywer?

They seem to want some documentation in addition to a birth certificate. Do you believe you can meet the requirements listed below?

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/88018.pdf

9 FAM Appendix N, 201.5 Petition on Behalf of a
Child
(CT:VISA-1195; 04-16-2009)
e. If a petition is submitted by the alleged natural father of a child, born
out-of-wedlock, the petitioner must establish that:
(1) He is the natural father of the offspring; and
(2) A bona fide parent-child relationship exists or has existed while the
child was under the age of 21.
(Such a relationship exists or has existed when the father displays clearly
or has displayed clearly an active concern for the child's support,
instruction, and welfare. Documents to manifest this concern may
include (but are not limited to) the child's birth certificate, local civil
records, affidavits from knowledgeable persons, and evidence of financial
support. DHS may require blood tests from the petitioner, beneficiary,
and the beneficiary's mother.)

Thank you for your help.

but for the record
(1) YES he is my natural father
(2) Relationship, existed and still does . Photos, holiday videos all available
Affidavits Available
Birth Certificate available
Evidence of Financial support Available
Blood Test ALL available.

Is there any other information we need to supply along with the I-130 or do you think that all of the above is enough.

Thank You

You didn't say anything about when the relationship was established. You only stated that you he was on the BC and wanted to sponsor you. That's why I asked for the clarification.

I'm glad you have some documentation. It is up to the US if they believe it is sufficient.
