Hi I am currently on my F1 visa and will be grduating this May. I have
applied for my OPT and have received the notice of action on 03/26/06,
but when i try to check my status online it says that is not able to
find a case with the receipt number and that i should check my receipt
number.

Has anyone been in this situation, and is it something to be worried
about?

If not is this case processed the same way a case would be processed
if it could be found online?

I would appreciate any help in this matter

It's not uncommon, and nothing to worry about. There have been problems
with updating the online status system for a long times, and some cases
simply disappear from it.

You should call the 800 number; they can look at the actual data to find
out if the case is in the system.

Thanks for the reply kevin, i called the 1 800 number and they told me
that its in the system and that it would be processed the same way it
would be if it was in the system.

Its a relief to know that I am not the only person who has been in this
situation.

Thanks for the reply from Kevin, and wanted to post the timelines so
that it would be helpful to people who are waiting for their EAD's
(OPT)

Date of receipt: 03/27/06
Date of approval: 03/24/06
Date I received the EAD in mail: 03/27/06

The people at TSC are really doing a good job, that is all I have to
