Default DS-230

Hi all,
Just wondering if someone can bring some light to a probably straight forward question.
I'm just abit confused about the DS-230 form.
Part 1
It states: Complete one copy of this form for yourself and each family member regardless of age, who will immigrate with you.Does that mean i (usc) fill this out too as well as my hubby(ukc), and son(usc) and daughter(ukc). (Just feel that myself and son are not applying for a visa as we are usc's)
Part 2
Looks more for aliens to fill this part in than usc, can anybody fill me in here.
Its probably very straight forward but i need some clarity on this one.
thanks

My alien fiance filled out a DS-230, Part I. I (the USC) did not.

I believe Part II is what they have the immigrant sign at the interview, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for that,
Yeh sure your right they need to sign the bottom,
Its just confusing as it states that all family member are to complete this form who are immigrating with you?
So i suppose i'll fill it out for my daughter and hubby, that makes sense.
Oh well if its not right i'm sure they let you know!
cheers

You and your USC child are not *immigrating*. Traveling maybe, but not immigrating. 'Immigrants' are non-USCs.

Since the name of the form is Applciation for an Immigrant Visa, that's another tipoff.
One for each person who is applying for a visa.

Hi:

If I recall correctly, you daughter was born in wedlock and is therefore not a US citizen. Do note that the I-864 requirement is a tad different for her -- if under 18, she becomes a US citizen automatically upon admission to permanent residence.

Also, I think there is a method of having her admitted as a citizen -- it is different with adjustment in the United States which requires a subsequent application.

Can u give a little more info on this as i am not 100% clear in my daughters case. I do know that i petition for her through the I-130 process, and that she will automatically aquire u.s.c if she is in my custody on entering the u.s.a. How does she claim this once in the states? will she have a green card? do i ajust status for her?
A big thank you
