Do I need my Medical Records for K-1 Visa
Hello all!
I am currently in the late stages of a K-1 application and will soon be visiting London for my medical examination. I am wondering whether or not I need to bring a copy of my medical records with me.
The embassy's own website says that the only record needed specifically relates to vaccinations.
However, Knightsbridge's, rather dated, website lists 'print out of medical records from GP'
If anyone with recent experience of this medical could shed some light on whether or not a copy of medical records is actually required then this would be greatly appreciated! I am in good health and take no medication.
(I originally included links to the respective pages, but received an error message informing me that this is not possible until I have made five posts)

I believe only a summary page is needed. Not the entire Medicaid record. Do a search on this forum, I know this question has been addressed recently.

I don't believe the Knightsbridge's website is out of date. As of mid-2017 this is what Knightsbridge has been requiring. It is part of our forums "pinned" information at the start of the forum page.

People have been bringing medical records, rather than summary, if they have suffered depression or emotional disorders and have required chemical intervention to get them over slump. They preferred to bring the medical record at the time of the medical rather than just the summary as the record will show all that was done to medically assist them and this way they don't have to suffer a delay while they run back to the doctor for the report.
You know what your medical history is. If there has never been a conviction for drug use, alcoholic abuse or a DUI, a need for anti-depressants, etc. than the summary is fine.

I presume you haven't yet booked your medical appointment? If not, when you do, you'll receive an email containing this instruction below. I booked my appointment this week, and so this is the most recent information Knightsbridge are supplying. I hope it helps you!
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
You are required to bring the following for each applicant having a medical examination:
If you do not have these documents we will not be able to send your medical to the US Embassy and this will cause you a delay.
Original Passport or UK Driving Licence (photo card not paper licence)
We do NOT accept copies of ID
4 X Identical Passport style photos - UK or US size
(we accept UK or US sized photographs)
ACRO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within the last 12 months for anyone 16 years of age & over (if your police certificate is more than one page long please advise Knightsbridge Doctors ahead of your medical as you may need additional time with the Doctor. If you fail to tell us ahead of time you may be asked to come back to go over this at an additional fee).
Vaccination records - Please provide a vaccination record for the panel to look over on the day to advise if any further vaccines are needed.
Please bring Red Books, if available.
https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/...cine_chart.pdf
Please visit the above link to see which vaccines are required for each age group.
Completed medical questionnaire which can be found at; https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/...ONNAIRE_IV.pdf
A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category
Summary of you medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) & reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. This has been a requirement since March 2017 and are aware it may not yet be added to the checklist online or on the US EMBASSY LONDON website.
Ask your GP for a Patient Summary/Care Summary.
If you wear glasses or contact lenses please bring them along to the appointment
If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc.
* If your medical notes are very extensive (more than 10 pages) please inform Knightsbridge Doctors before you come for your medical. This required extra time with the doctor to go through your notes. If you do not inform us of this, you will be charged for an appointment slot for the doctor to read these notes.
Please follow this link; https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/famil...l-examination/ where you can find all forms required at your medical from the US Embassy website.

Re: Do I need my Medical Records for K-1 Visa
Thank you for your responses, all extremely helpful. I already have my medical summary from my GP, and am happy to hear that I will not also need to obtain my full medical records!
Regarding 'reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses' - does anyone have any more information on what this constitutes? I have a congenital heart condition, but it does not affect me in any way (I even qualified for a Commonwealth Games a few years ago). Do you think this is something they would need an additional report for?
If so, is this something I can simply also request from my GP or cardiologist?
Thanks again for you help!

I've only seen the full medical report requested for those that have either self-harmed, been under care for depression, had numerous drunk driving arrests, etc.
I would go with just the summary and if you need the fuller medical report, you can get it after the exam.

I had my appointment made and had to wait 2 weeks. Make sure your name and address is on the medical summary. I didn’t have it on mine but fortunately had part medical notes with me name and address on.

Re: Do I need my Medical Records for K-1 Visa
As of last week, appointments were about three weeks out. I managed to bring my appointment forward, but when I originally called Knightsbridge on 21st March the earliest appointment they could offer me was 19th April. That may fluctuate frequently but currently they don't seem to be able to offer appointments super quickly. Conversely, the embassy appointments seem to be more plentiful at the moment.

Re: Do I need my Medical Records for K-1 Visa
For anyone's future reference:
Knightsbridge have indeed requested further information on my heart condition, and one other condition.
Although I suspected this might be the case, the exact info they have requested would have been hard to predict, so there is pretty much no way I could have brought it on the day. They provided me with a letter for my GP explaining what they need. I have spoken to my GP and handed this letter in, with the extra request that these records be provided to me rather than sent direct, so I can courier them myself for a quicker turnaround/peace of mind. I will hopefully have these tomorrow and have them with Knightbridge before the end of the week.
The panel physician stressed that this was nothing to worry about, he simply had to see the documents before every box could be ticked. They have asked that the documents reach them five working days before my interview.
