Default Cheap flights

Am guessing that people on here are constantly flying back and forth to visit their loved ones. Does anyone know any good places for cheap flights from USA to UK. The cheapest we could find for august was $1000.

August is HIGH season but there are possibilities. Give me dates and city pairs and I'll give you a guideline.

How?
The cheapest I could get on BA.com was $980 flying from San Fran to heathrow, last week in August. What parameters did you use?

Try very near dates; if you can find an airlline that still has capacity with less than two weeks to go the prices often drop substantially.

Default flights to the US

The last 2 times we went, we found thomascook.com to have the best price for our tickets. This time, it is www.airlinenetwork.co.uk .

Try www.sidestep.com

I found it for $761pp. Leaving Aug 13, returning Aug 27 with Delta - San Francisco to Gatwick via Cincinatti.

Maybe it's worth the hour drive north to SFO?

I just did the 23rd August to Sept 3 and it was under 600 even days around those come out at the same sort of money. London to San Fransisco.

Thanks people for all your input, greatly appreciated. Finally settled on round trip from Sacramento to London landing next saturday through priceline.com for $690.
So my better half is coming to see me for a while, first time i've smiled since the whole K1 thing started.

Just out of curiosity, USC coming to visit, can she just use VWP and say she is visiting or will she have to supply all kinds of proof or intention to return to US?
(there is absolutely no intention to marry on this trip and she is going home)
