CALLING NVC--ALL FIANCE VISAS APPRVD. MAR. 1 & AFTER
The information below came off of a March 1, 2003 NOA from TSC on a I-129 F
Petition.
Under new law, all fiance Petitions(I-129F) from all four BCIS service centers
will go direct to NVC in New Hampshire for 'processing'.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------
Here are some questions:
1, Which Petioners, if any, approved March 1 or after has called
NVC and confimed that NVC has received their Petition from service center???
2, Who knows for sure what actual processing will take place at NVC?
3. Will all security checks be done at NVC?
4. Will additional security checks be done when Petition reaches Embassy?
5. What security checks are done at service center?
6. What method will NVC use to send 'processed' Petitions to the
Embassy/Consulate?
The person who can authoritatively and knowledgeably answer all of the above
questions gets an all expense paid trip to the bowels of any BCIS service
center in the U. S. to closely observe its inner workings.

Language on Approved I-129 F Petition:
"The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition
to the Department of State National Visa Center(NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue,
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909. (Take it down Jerry) The INS has completed all
action; further inquiries should be directed to the NVC.
The NVC now processes all approved fiance(e) petitions. The NVC processing
should be complete within two to four weeks after receiving the Petition from
INS. The NVC will create a case record with your petition information. NVC will
then send the Petition to the U. S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiance(e)
will be interviewed for his or her visa.
You will receive notification by mail when NVC has sent your Petition to the U.
S. Embassy or consulate.
The notification letter will provide you with a unique number for your case and
the name and address of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your petition has
been sent. If it has been more than four weeks since you have received this
approval notice and you have not received notification from NVC that your
petition has been fowarded overseas., please call NVC at etc. "
