Brown Envelop from US Consulate London
Hi There
My fiance (US) has applied K1 visa for me back in June and we haven't
heared anything from them until yesterday. It is abit strange because
they didn't VSC didn't mail her the status of the petition apart form
the first acknowledgement letter you get giving you your recipt
number.
When I went home from work yesterday, I found a brown envelop from US
Consulate in my letter box with forms to fill and send. What is
happening here?
I checked the BCIS online status, it doesn't say anything about
approval and my fiance didn't recieve any things with regard to the K1
approval from VSC.
Does anyone know what is happening, your comments welcomed

Congratulations.. it looks like Vermont has approved you and you have received packet 3.. time to get onto the police certificate and the affidavit of support if you havent already =)
The online status is not always up to date....

Tell your finance to get her dial finger in shape and call the 1-800 number and tell them that she did not get the second Notice of Action/Notice of Approval from VSC. This I-797 is needed for adjustment of status stateside.
You appear to have gotten what others here call packet 3. Read the instructions carefully and start getting your documentation in order so you can send back the checklilst, etc. to the US Consulate so that an interview date can be set up for you.
