To cover my bases, I wrote my Senator on this matter, too. Received a
letter from his office on Friday stating that he's submitted a formal
request of CIS on my behalf. I don't expect to hear from the
Ombudsman for a while.
For the record, I'm not a K3. Actually, I was already in the US on a
NAFTA TN-1 visa for several years prior to marrying my wife, so my
whole filing situation is a little different than a typical K1 or K3.
