AOS Interview Scheduled
Well I received notice today from Boise INS that our interview for AOS
has been scheduled for December 23 at 8;30 am. Talk about cutting it
close to Christmas.
Weird part is in the section where they tell you what to bring to the
interview (and it is X'd off) they didn't X for "Your Spouse" nor did
they do it for "Evidence of a Common Residence and Shared Life
(Include Photos)".
Just shows to bring our passports, I-94's and photo ID's of all
persons included in the interview and to bring the
petitioner/sponsor's current employment letter, 2001 taxes of
sponsor(s) and this letter.
Has anyone gotten something similar to this? Where you are not
required to bring your spouse? I guess the passport suffices alone
as photo ID for my son also?
Do I bring my spouse anyhow plus evidence in case they had just
screwed up? If not he can go shopping at Wal-Mart across the street
while he waits for us.
Thanks again for any help.

(Do you have an abbreviated nickname for Margaret? My daughter, Margaret, is called Meg)
If you don't bring your spouse, the INS is going to X your application. You cannot interview without him ;-)
Yes bring anything and everything you have. I know you have only been married a few months but gather it all, copy it, make yourself two piles, one original and one copy. Give INS the copies and you retain the originals. Oh and bring your son. Even if he doesn't get his AOS interview notice for the same day, you might be able to get them to adjudicate it the same day as yours.

Thank you very much Rete. I failed to mention that I also got a
letter for my son at the same time. I noticed under my son's name on
his letter (the address line) that my husband Richard's name was
shown. His name never appeared below mine. Anyhow I kind of thought
he was to come along with us after reading other posts. Geeze no
wonder people get confused. I've learned so much from being on this
newsgroup. It's been great.

When I first got to talking to him (Jack), he told me his first wife's
name was Margaret and she caused him nothing but trouble. Smart assed
