Hi there! We had our AOS interview at Indianapolis yeasterday and it was a breeze! We also waited 9 months for our interview date. Our appointment was at 10.05am so we arrived there around 9.30. Theres a car park right in front of the building which costs$4 but this was full, but theres pleanty of parking in the streets nearby so take plenty of change for the meters! We took the lift to the 4th floor and looked in horror at the amount of people waiting! Those of us lucky enough to have appointment letters just have to hand them in at the desk and wait for our names to be called. We were called in just after 11am by the officer interviewing us, and he took us immediately to have my fingerprints taken and to take my signature. A good sign I thought!! He took us back to his office and swore us in. He was pleasant and friendly while remaining very proffessional, not off-putting at all. He proceeded to look through our file several times then placed the I-485 on top and started to ask me every question that was on the form, just asking Chris his social security number. He ticked each question as I gave him the answer. The only thing he asked for was our 2003 tax return which we don't have yet. We filed an extension as we were STILL waiting for my EAD to be approved and needed this to get my social security number so we could file jointly. He said he thought he would need it before he could approve us. Our faces must have sunk to the floor when he said this!! At this point I started pulling everything out of my file that showed our assests...house deeds, savings etc and he said he would go and check with his supervisor if we really needed the W2 to approve us...there we were sat holding our breath, sweating, our hearts beating so loud I'm sure the whole office could hear!! Anyway, good news...WE WERE APPROVED!! He did'nt ask to see a single piece of evidence that we had painstakingly photo-copied and filed oh so neatly!! He just asked us one question other than the ones on the I-485,"How did we meet?" We replied the Internet and he just laughed saying he was getting more and more people saying that! At this point he took my passport and stamped it, remeinded us about removing the conditions in 2 years as we have only been married for 9 months and that was it, quite painless!! At this point chris asked the officer how to get to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I could have died!!
