Default AOS - Evidence of marriage, living together

Hi,

I have all of my AOS documents together, but what is the typical rule for supplying evidence of marriage, living together etc? Does this need to be provided at time of application or the interview? The new version of the I-864 requires proof of living in the same residence. As I have never been on our apartment lease, what evidence should I provide?

Thanks.

You know, those FAQs really are quite useful!

You don't need to send in the evidence with the AOS package. You need to show it at the AOS interview.

I haven't seen the new I-864 which requires that...but I'd say any mail that comes to your residence in both your names (even junk mail) should be OK.

You bring all your evidence with you to the interview, and originals
for the copies you sent in with your original filing (birth
certificate, marriage certificate).

Preferred evidence establishes financial intermingling (joint account,
joint lease, beneficiary of each other's assests, etc) Other valuable
evidence is mail sent to the both of you at the same address (addressed
to either one or both), photos of holidays, trips, photos with each
other's family, etc.

As our interview came much sooner than expected, and our lease was up
for renewal shortly after the interview, my name was not on the lease
yet.
I asked one of our neighbours if she could be so kind as to write a
short note stating her name and address being a tenant in the same
building, confirming that I live in the building together with my wife
and how we regularly meet each other, etc.

You could do similar stuff with mutual friends, collegas and such.
