So difficult to read those MIME formatted posts. Anyway if you are in the LA area, you have to file at the INS LA Office. If you are wise you will use the LABA for filing. Here is their official website: http://www.lacba.org/showpage.cfm?pageid=268
For the cost of the INS filing fee and their small fee, they will complete the paperwork for you that morning and file your applications for you. People using them have an insider track to quicker approvals for EADs and APs and no one yet has been posted a disappointed review of their services.
As for a social security card, if she came on a K-1 fiancee visa, she should have filed for that before your marriage. She can try doing so now and see what happens. If she did not have a K-1 fiancee visa, you have to wait until she has an EAD to obtain a social security card.

Hi:
Many ATTORNEYS use the LACBA-ILPC as their filing service. When **I** need information on the details of working the 300 North L.A. St. labryninth, Mary, Jane and Geronimo have helped me many times, as recently as yesterday.
The ILPC does NOT take appointments. They are located at 300 North Los Angeles Street, Third Floor [south end of the building]. They are open from 8-12 and 1:30 to 3 M-F.
When you enter the building, go to the 300 North Los Angeles Street Entrance. Use the entrance to the RIGHT of the entry square. The one to the left is now for the main INS waiting room and you do NOT want to get in that line. When you go there, you will see what I mean.

You can't she has to apply
for one. If she has been here less than 76 days. She can go
apply at any SSA office. Will need proof of age, identify, work authorized
status and form SS-5. Birth certificate and passport with I-94.Â
If you want to try to get the SSN in the married name she will need the
marriage certificate too. After 76 days she will need the INS EAD
too.
After you get married or
after the 76th day after entry things get a little fuzz, that's why it's
best to apply for the SSN right after you get here.  INS says
they no longer considers you a K-1 after you have married, but SSA told
me they don't care that you are married, as long as your not been here
over 76 days.  The other thing I was told by SSA is that after
the 76th day the EAD is your work authorization, so it wouldn't matter
that the I-94 K-1 status has expired. The problem is that none of
this is written down specifically for issuing SSNs to K-1s, so an office
might say you can't be issued an SSN after the 76th day even if you have
an EAD card.  Plus the wild card is no matter when you apply,
the SSN isn't going to be issued until your work authorized status can
be verified by INS.
