Steg,

Could you tell us the timeline for your visa? 1st NOA, 2nd NOA,
Interview date, Visa issued date.

The reason I ask is because my Congressperson says that ALL visas are
delayed, not just Moscow, etc. and I am looking for evidence that that
is not true.

My 1st NOA was in March, interview July 30 and we are still waiting.

I am in pretty much the same situation - and yes, it really, really stinks!

I am from Ireland and my wife is an American citizen. What I did was
this...I have been waiting for a mere year and a half so far and nut one
night went crazy, looking up anything I could - including our representative
in the U.S. House of Representatives, mayor of Atlanta (we're in North GA..)
etc. etc. and emailed them all asking of there was any way to find out the
status of my application. And don;t think that I hadn;t already tried the
usual ways - calling, online check with receipt number - they didn't even
give me a receipt number that was acceptable to use in the online status
check! Anyway the next day after emailing at 3 in the morning, I got a
phone call from a guy from the district director of the office of our rep.
and he has been helpful so far (I last scanned copies of my receipt and
letter, as he requested, and sent them to him by email on Friday evening)
and I am hoping to hear back from him today or pretty soon anyway. I am NO
fan of politicians and so on but this guy was actually nice to the extent of
surprising me quite alot. Maybe you could try contacting your local
representative - or if you have the resources, as not everyone has, it might
be a good idea to get in touch with a lawyer. I personally would be more
inclined to go at it in the way that I did, if I was you.

Hope this helps a little - hang in there!
Dave.
