Default advice to tarsem and suchlike....

hi.
i just read the posting from tarsem and got seriously wound up about it!
if the person he is talking about cannot sign her name or worse still, cannot remember how to even mark a damn cross on the form, well, then i am sorry, she needs to get a life, but not in the usa. from the name, i am guessing that tarsem is an indian guy or girl, so what i would say to him/her is that if your friends cant even mark an X on a form, let them stay where they are. and i am no racist or anything--i have many black and asian friends. there is no room for anybody like that in the modern world. i have met many indians in the usa/canada who are barely literate, but somehow have wangled their way in, either via their relatives or illegally. but i was astounded by the way these people treat their countrymen who come over for the first time!! they carry their noses so high up in the clouds, as if they have arrived in paradise and there is nothing on the earth like them!
they are arrogant, have no courtesy or manners (just look what they have done to malton, toronto) and carry on the same as if they were still in some village in india! i have a friend who works with the immigration service and he once told me that he has actually seen a daughter try to bring her dad over from india acting as her husband!!! can you believe it ?
in my experience, the only indians worth their weight in gold and who have given their all to the usa/ canada via their academic achievements, are those who have come over via europe (ie uk,etc) or east africa. for these guys know what it is like to live in westernised society. so my advice to tarsem's friends is: get a life and stay in your own countries and at least try to learn english. give the rest of the genuine people a damn chance.......

I don't know what you guys are talking about but a Google search on the name
"Tarsem" certainly indicates that his 'guess' was at least a good try.
Tarsem Singh was at least born in India:

Mea culpa then. It doesn't seem like a normal name though. maybe it was made
up by his parents to "be different". Kinda like Loquetia or Lawonda...

About cultures:
Tarsem Singh is from Punjab, a state in the North East of India, bordering
Pakistan.
His Parents were Sihks (religion) and that's why he got the name Singh.
The Tarsem part doesn't matter, I also know a Daisy, Michael and more people
from India and I don't consider these names Indian.
