Hey Peeps,
It’s been a crazy 4 days, but had my interview at the embassy on Wednesday and all went well, the visa was accepted and visa will be with my on Tuesday.
Can anyone help with SSN and how I get one?
Thanks
Wally

Your subject line threw me. I thought you were just applying.
Congratulations on having your visa approved. Did you check the box to get a SSN assigned to you? If so, you will generally receive the number about 10 days or so after you enter the US on the approved visa.
If you have not received it in three weeks, go to your local social security office and reapply.

Honestly, I don't know what form contains the box. I would assume it has to be on one of the ones from the US Consulate and not on the I-130 itself.

If you checked 'yes' on the question about Social Security numbers on the last page of DS-230 II (page 4), your SSN application will be automatically submitted when you enter the US with your Immigrant Visa.
If you did not, you'll need to apply in person with form SS-5 about 10 days after arrival.
If you did check 'yes', and if more than 3 weeks pass after entry without hearing from the SSA by mail, you will need to follow up.
Please see the wiki entry in my signature and the one titled Immigrant Visa Arrival for more information.
