At last, home from work and as per usual straight online to British Expats, only this time with a grin broad enough to frighten horses...
Hey guess what? We're approved! Ok, you heard it already, but it feels so good to be able to say that! In fact, I'll probably say it again before the end of this message...
SecretGarden called me at work during the afternoon with the news, and I must admit I found it too good to believe at first! After a few minutes of jabbering I hung up in order to free the phoneline and check online, and sure enough there it was! Next priority was to call her back so we could spend some time saying things like "I don't believe it" and "OMG" and suchlike... If ever there was a suitable occasion to make a 20 minute transatlantic call from a mobile phone this was it!
(still grinning now)
So there you have it, an approval. Several weeks ago I predicted that we'd get our NOA2 before Thanksgiving, and with hours to spare they came up with the goods. Ok, one nightmare over, now onto the next stage!
