Many think its a kiddy game but it really isnt - it's quite strategic especially at end game level - dont usually find many kids ( lower teens) at this level - Im in a guild that has about 85 members and not one is under 18 with the majority being over 25

Why can't they ditch the poxy weather channel and replace it with a decent 24x7 news channel?
I have to totally disagree with you there, based on my recent stay in the UK, and being a "newsaholic". I think our CBC and CTV news is on a par with BBC/ITV, plus we have CBC Newsworld, 24 hour news, and the CTV has a similar channel as well. Global National every night is superior to the stuff on British TV.

Just my opinion.

I agree the way the news is delivered in Canada is not the same.

One big news story on global this morning was about the mail not getting delivered to one community, because of an unruly dog.

A story last year was run about a garden gnome being stollen.

I really want to be more educated than this while watching the news. I stick with BBC on line.

that is classic.
quite unbelievable really, but we are in the canadian bubble i suppose. watch cnn for a bit, it brings reality sharply into focus from just over the border.

Quiet true, Calgary is a smaller city with growing pains. I guess the mind set of some is still in the times when Calgary was a lot smaller.

I'll give CNN a try.

You're comparing your local news to the national news, rather silly comparison. it's like comparing BBC West to the main BBC news.

Ah, BBC West. That takes me back.

Is it CTV that has a short burst of music...a sort of Da de de da....? That reminds me of HTV in the days when it was really amateurish.

It was taken at a greasy spoon Caff in W.London before we moved to Canada. The week before that we had Curry in Southall, the week before that Fish & Chips at Brighton pier.

I took photos of them all..
