I dont consider Canadain driving to be any worse or dangerous than any where else

I didn't notice that 
On a more serious note, I have noticed that especially in Montreal Red light jumping is far more common than the UK. We are talking right in the middle of the red not just a secnd after. In any given day I see at least 3 of these. About what I see in London in 6 months.
