Very happy. Can't imagine moving back to the UK at all.
Am I happier than I would have been if I'd stayed in the UK. Certainly. And despite a very shaky two and a bit years of not working and what not, even in my darkest times I would say that on balance I was happier here.
I think developing a strong social network, and enjoying your job and having strong partnerships are key. I'm lucky to have found all three, but even with only one of the above I was at least as happy as I was when I lived in London.

Yes I am happy
When I was 20 years old, I used to work for the employment service. There was this misserable old lady who worked there who hated her job and was always complaining. I asked her if she was so unhappy why she stayed all those years and she said she was too afraid to do anything else.
Since that time I decided never to let fear stop me from doing the things that make me happy. I have walked away from more than one successful career which was standing in the way of my happiness.
Since coming to Canada, things have just fallen into place. Work great, finances great, family life great. Of course my life is not perfect, we have many challenges that we have to deal with, but I enjoy challenges and if things were too perfect I would just get bored.

After 16 months yes very happy!!
Don't get me wrong it wasn't all plain sailing with regards to renewing visas LMO's etc in fact it was bloody stressful! but we got through it. OH has an amazing job earning good money, compared to UK were he was being underpaid and overworked, I work for a company who appreciates the work I do and have been so supportive since i started. Moving to a new apartment in a few weeks where we'll have the bike trails right on our doorstep and the ski hills 5 minutes away. In my opinion our quality of life is so much better than here than in England we have money left over at the end of the month, and there is always something to do.
I do miss my family a lot though, whilst out here I've missed the birth of two nieces and the death of my Gran so that was pretty tough but that's life i suppose you just have to deal with it and move on, I can't put my life n hold or carry on coasting along in the UK just to be around for these events. I was able to get back at Christmas and meet the babies and catch up with family which was lovely, but couldn't wait to get back 'home' here which surprised me. All in all even with the ups and downs we are much happier than we were in UK and that's what we came out here for! So, so far so good!
