you a farmer?
Not that you would have time to answer (you'd be so snowed under with work!) but is there anyone outthere who has bought and is working a farm or small holding in BC??
Would love to hear about your experiences.

I own land in the ALR, and have farm classification for my business (an equestrian property), but it's probably not farming in the traditional sense you're referring too.
Drop me a line if you think I can help.

Never - the horse (just on loan for now) is coming after May long - Arab Mare can't wait, that will seriously be a dream come true for me.
Have almost finished fencing, cleared the trees and so on - just gotta get the waterer and feeder there, hang some gates and we should be good.
To the op, I am a city girl through and through and this is all new to me. Grab it by the horns and as long as nothing dies then you haven't failed
Oh and get heated hoses

Re: you a farmer?
Thanks all,
We'r looking to buy a plot and start a small holding / hobby farm on about 20+ acres. We could never afford to do this in the UK (land prices being what they are) but we think we can make our dream come true in the Kootenays. ultimately our long term aim is to live 'off grid' and farm sustainably somehow earning a living some along the way. Not sure how this is all going to pan out but we arrive in mid July to start this new and exciting adventure.
I'm terrified
