This one is shaping up pretty badly. It's been a shitty year.
1) OH falls and breaks her arm. (Jan).
2) Favourite french cousin diagnosed with oesophagus cancer. (Still Jan).
3) No. 2 son falls (under mysterious circumstances) and shatters his left tibia and fibula. (This was still only February). It took until September before he could function again (in an ambulatory fashion).
4) Favourite french cousin's mother has a heart attack
5) Same cousin's father falls and breaks hip (2 weeks later, August)
6) My mother dies (Sept).
7) I break my toe.
8) FIL has to have an operation for a tumour on liver.
9) Cousin with cancer has relapse, apparent metastasis.
10) Oh, I forget. BIL suffers a detached retina, for the second time.
11) MIL dies unexpectedly after a massive stroke (a week ago).
12) Christmas can go boil it's head. I'm looking forward to New Years Eve when 2010 will end.

Bad bits = food poisoning or gastroenteritis (not sure what it was) Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
Best bits = Skyping my Mum on Boxing day and 'seeing' everyone!
Poor Mr Piff and teen Piff had salads for their Christmas dinner, I just ate ice cubes.
