I don't understand this annointed status given to Shearer. Listening to him sends me to sleep, he was not a team player and a nasty player with the elbows etc....and that goal celebration was boring the 2nd time I saw it.

I thought the game commentary was okay, although I think the commentator was biased to SA, but given it goes around the world it's not surprising. It's the CBC bits, before, at half time and the wrap up which is complete crap and its just shows how little understanding Canadians have for football.

His name is Nigel Reed but to some people on this forum he has committed the ultimate blasphemy (akin to wanting to take on cradle like lifestyle habits) and has done commentary for MLS games.
