seems to be 3 clear favorites tommorrow, will be interesting to see who (if anyone) gets the scores right. Could be a big moving day for someone.

DearLeader Brazil 0 KoreaDPR 7

My tactics from yesterday failed miserably (I didn't have time to think about or research the teams, so relied on a certain Mr. William Hill to predict the scores for me :o).

According to the interesting Mr. Hill today, if DearLeader bet on 0-7, he would win 400 won, from a one won stake, while anyone backing Kim Kum II to score twice, would win 33 won from a one won wager.

What's the odds on Pak scoring? (there's 5 of 'em in squad).

I see 4x Pak and 4x Ri. Now, I've been to Korea but I forget :o how people are supposed to be addressed formally.. by first name or last name?

Pak Sung Hyok
25/1
Pak Nam Chol [4]
50/1
Pak Nam Chol [14]
80/1
Pak Chol Jin
100/1

Ri Chol Myong
25/1
Ri Jun Il
100/1
Ri Kwang Chon
100/1
Ri Kwang Hyok
100/1

I dunno either, but the CBC site gives the names t'other way round. e.g Nam Chol Pak etc.

Probably Alan knows this stuff.

I don't actually know, but the hyphenated Korean chap in the office says this:

"surname comes first ... first name usage implies a close relationship."

Edit: Pak, Ri are in the top set of names according to this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...n_family_names

Well, I for one, am looking forward to CBC educating us in a precise fashion tomorrow. This is a timely opportunity for teaching and guidance towards a more peaceful world. Let's all hope the international press can grab this bull by the horns.

And it's Pak! But Pak is making a good run on the right! No , he's gone to Ri who plays a through ball towards Ri which is deflected to Pak... and, oh that's a good ball in by Pak and it's put Pak through...and a backheel to Ri who plays a neat one two with Ri and THEY ALL SCOOOOOOOORE!!!!!

Re: World Cup

On the other hand, channel 3 (CBC French) might be the better option. My daughter is the only one in the house who speaks French fluently but tells me "they all talk too fast" [for her to translate]

But we all love CBC

I'm pleased to see you're enjoying the World Cup. And I hope you win the prediction game. It would reaffirm my faith in the dartboard. (Which is what I'm using).
