I would have said it's more Prudduh. Pruddah sounds more home counties.

I toyed with both. Pruddah sounded more authentically Geordie, Prudduh a bit Dorrrhm.

Sorry to disagree, but jimf is correct. I lived in the border country for 23 yrs and Hawick is pronouced Hoik / Hoyk, and Bellingham was pronounced Bellingjam ( several students from my village went to school there when they were 13+)

Wimbledon as we know it, is pronounced here as :

Wimbleton.

Always interesting to hear folks pronounce places that end in 'borough'

Neighbouring Blennerhasset is a good one too.

I find that Canadians struggle when I ask for Coke.:confused:
