No in fact, if it has a water repellant, tumble drying it brings out the water repelling effect.
I used to place a tennis ball in my tumble dryer to mash the living sh%te out of the down and ensure that it doesn't all end up in one corner of the box

Using a tennis ball, or those dryer balls help with that, but I have washed and dries mine with no problems, the labels on all of my down say dry clean OR machine wash and tumble. They come out really puffy and fluffy.

If anyone is looking to invest a new set of baselayer items then check out EB's new stuff. I have been unpacking it today, reading to put out in the shop and it's really really nice. I will be buying a baselayer this year - I have made do with leggings and long sleeve t's which has been fine but this stuff is lovely, really impressed with it.
