CBC radio this morning said we'd be getting it Friday, with windchill making it -35 to -40 but the weather network is suggesting -15 with windchill making a feels like -25 but we had that Sunday morning.

Not bad? it's facking freezing.

My Daughter was finally able to throw a cup of hot water this morning and watch it disappear

I like the cold so I don't mind. Would like it to be a bit colder. Lol

I was there September to end of January.

I also spent a winter in Edmonton back in 2006.

Edmonton has been the coldest place I have lived. Been in colder temps though.

It's now that I realize that I can't drive worth a damn! The only thing that makes me feel better is that the majority of Canadians drive no better than me and they were brought up in this rubbish weather! I think the term 'very chilly' covers us down East for the next few days...

So, Tuesday we got 20cm of snow & schools were closed. It was cold for this part of the world at -8C and windy. Last night we got a further 15cm but the temp went up to zero so it was lovely heavy snow & I'm glad I have some powered snow removal equipment. Because it's the beginning of the winter and I have a short memory, I thought it would be a good idea to plow a path to the compost bins behind the garage. Needless to say not long after I left the paved patio I got stuck. Very stuck. Had to break out the second toy to pull the first one out!

Tonight we're due for another 10cm then it goes up the plus something and we get rain for the morning. Then if all freezes & we have a snow squall warning. Sunday is supposed to be +10C and raining before dropping well below freezing for the early part of the week. By Tuesday this place is going to be one giant block of ice!

I feel for you. We've already had over 70cm of the crap and the numbers I'm looking at today are not pretty. Minus lots and FFS! windchill.

I have been forced to haul my domestic swill in from the garage. I know what happens to it below -15.

The darlings at Sears have just informed me that my snowblower (due for delivery yesterday) has arrived at the distribution warehouse.

Which is in Calgary..........

70cms!! WTF
It snowed 30cms here back in Jan 2015 - the largest snow event in 80 years!!

I can deal with the cold, but I cannot deal with more than 10cm of snow in a 24hr period.
