wine!

Re: wine!
I did. Post 56.
Jackson Triggs Rosé...about $10...goes very nicely with a prawns and scallops meal I make. It's a nice change from Red and White and the only decent Canadian wine I've found that wasn't an Ice Wine.
Anything on the Rosemount Diamond labels...Chardonnays about $14 and Shiraz between $17 and $20.
Hardys Stamp is usually reliable for a cheapie at $11 to $14.
Oxford Landing was a favourite back in England. I've not seen it here but it must be around. Everything else I used to drink over there seems to be.

Re: wine!
Not sure for their entry level wines, but they do use imported juice. However, their reserve wines (at least in the Okanagan) have the VQA designation so they are made from 100% Okanagan grapes. Still very good value for money IMO.

Just opened a bottle of NZ Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2009. On sale at LCBO for 17.95. Very nice indeed.

Have an open bottle of "braille wine" here. Rasteau Cotes-du-Rhone Village, M. Chapoutier, $17+ at the LCBO, label overprinted with studs. Like it a lot.

We like Sumac Ridge. My dad's sent me a case for Christmas which we are looking forward to sampling.

Tonights NYE celebratory supper of a rather funky Morrocan lamb dish courtesy of the neighbours, was accompanied by a Las Moras Black Label Malbec. Which I can thoroughly recommend.

Re: wine!
Had some dodgy sounding pyramid-enhanced Okanagan fizz while out last night. I vaguely recall it being very easy to drink.
Have otherwise failed to find an affordable wine on a par with what I would have gone for previously. I have bookmarked this thread
