I would guess that historically, a good proportion of the clients for immigration consultants were those hoping to immigrate using the points system for the Federal Skilled Worker programme. From what I've read on here, that is going to change drastically In the New Year. As a consequence, I would imagine a lot of people are going to hold off on applications (especially if they are sufficiently complicated the applicant feels they need the services of a consultant in the first place) until the new process is revealed.

I feel so sorry for present clients of Wildy and I hope of things go belly up they get their money back, but I'm not sorry for the company owner, as far as I'm concerned he deserves everything that's coming whatever that might be. Looks to me that the company is going to fold, why else would be very rid of valuable staff!! I have personal experience of working for this company and he treats his staff dismally, there's a whole string of us that have felt the wrath of Wildy, watch this space I guess!!

As a general rule, if a company goes bankrupt, there is little to no chance clients will get money back. A business goes bankrupt because it owes more than it has.

I was under the impression from comments on this Forum that Wildy was/is held in pretty good regard? Am I wrong?

I have dealt with several immigration "professionals" in my career and paid neither a penny.

It's an industry that really annoys me as it seems to be very much a "money for nothing" culture. They "pitch" misleading value adds and try and lure people out of thousands for being nothing more than a tick box service.

With CIC capable of changing the rules on a frequent basis and processes lasting years why would you want to invest a lot of money. Far too much risk in my opinion.

It's sad to say but a fool and his money are easily parted and people who employ a middleman really need to look at the value add more closely.

I think that there ARE some good Immigration Consultants out there who really do help people who feel they are not able to complete applications themselves. However the unscrupulous consultants tend to steal the headlines and give everyone a bad name.
