Following on from another thread, if I remember rightly the last meet up was a while ago and a lot of us have moved here since that one!

I wondered who would be up for another (bearing in mind I will be kind of out of action for 3 weeks so if there is one wouldn't mind it being end of August time )

Littletashy I think is the latest addition to the Calgary clan having moved there about 6 weeks ago - so if you search for posts by her you will read her observations.

There have been many threads about Calgary, one started just a few hours ago. It's called moving to calgary hopefully.

There also are links to several forum members' accounts of Calgary and area in the Wiki article called Real Life Accounts. That article includes a link to a blog called Jan & Eam's News. They're actually in a satellite town called Okotoks, but that's close enough. I like many things about their blog, but especially the fact that it has lots of photos. A picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes.

seems like theres a bit of interest already!!!! I'm off for the next couple of weeks so if you guys would be so kind as to keep this thread going and get some names and tentative dates that would be good.

I can't do anything before 22nd August so some time in the last week would work for me. Once we have a date - we'll find a venue - like Tashys idea of a BBQ picnic thingy however the beers aren't allowed to flow outside so we may have to move on somewhere after (unless someone has an unfeasibly large decked area complete with outdoor kitchen and a pool would be nice
