Who here likes rootbeer?
I think it is the worst tasting stuff in the world! It smells & tastes like germoline. What were they thinking?

I know what you mean. We've been getting gourmet flavour jelly beans from Walmart & there are germolene ones in there. Tis funny to see the kids faces when they accidently pick one! Saying that, there is a cinnamon one in it too & they start running around like their mouths are on fire! Is very spicy.

Me. Then again, I drink PC Superstore Ginger Beer, which will probably strip paint if you spill it .

Its like the beverage version of a Kebab, i like it when i have a drink in A&W, but afterwards i regret what i did as the aftertaste is awful.

I love it, especially with ice cream in it (root beer float)... an A&W speciality!

Re: Who here likes rootbeer?
At A&W restaurants in addition to Root Beer you used to be able to get "Swamp Water" (half and half Root Beer and Orange pop) "Brown Cow" (half and half Root Beer and milk) or "Jungle Juice" (one third milk, one third Root Beer and one third Orange pop).
Not at all sure if you can get the latter two these days but you might still be able to get "Swamp Water".
Any one of them does tend to dull the Germolene taste.
There may have been one more concoction I'm not 100% sure on though, "Tiger-Tiger" (half and half Orange pop and milk).

Re: Who here likes rootbeer?
I tried the Bangs root beer the other day for the first time and really liked it!
Next step is to try the A&W can and if thats successful then a root beer float doesn't sound like a bad idea at all

Re: Who here likes rootbeer?
I was exactly the same with the germolene taste, then my hubby suggested I try rum and root beer. I'm all like "really???? you wanna ruin a decent drink with that shite???"
But it is delicious beleive it or not!
